I am a 37 year old women.
I have three beautiful children. Two daughters and a son. I am amid a three year messy at best custody battle with my ex-MIL. It clouds every moment of my life.
Once again I am living in the small town where I grew up. It is a quiet German-Dutch town where most of my family still resides. When I was the age of ten my immediate family moved to Palm Beach Fl, I have traveled and lived in a fair amount of places, MI, PA, Fl, LA, OR, Athens Greece, NY, CT, SC and TX. Oregon was the most beautiful, Athens the most exciting.
Reading, social causes, religious studies, Yoga, living simply, my supportive family, and the few moments I have with my children, are the most enjoyable things to me.
I am not a Christian in the traditional sense, raised in traditional Protestantism my views are naturally shaped toward progressive Unitarians at this juncture in my life. As an adult I began to prefer to incorporate different paths into my own journey. These involve, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Sufism, and Gnosticism. Many ism’s. I am a Baha'i, we do not like ism's :-).I have tremendous respect for other beliefs as long as they do not impose upon my right to do my will if it is not imposing my will on another.
My life has been a roller coaster, many of the downfalls due to my own actions. I accept my own actions or lack thereof that have caused me to end up in some precarious situations. This does not mean life is or has been fair or just for me, but I can not change the hearts of others. I also, as many, am a survivor of abuse in different forms, mental illness, and other “why me” incidents in my life. I can only continue from this moment on... Even the moment before this line is beyond my control. I look to the future.
